Working alongside your agency
Senior responsibility through delivery
The brief has become a publishing system, a regional rollout and an integration project, with decisions crossing content, design and engineering before the agency can turn the client’s commercial ambition into a delivery commitment.
The ambition makes sense.
Your team won the work because it understood the client. Each unresolved dependency now brings another clarification, another review and another decision into production, while existing platforms and local market requirements constrain what the team can change.
I define the system and carry its critical decisions from discovery through architecture into delivery.
Before the proposal.
Bring the brief and the commitment under discussion. We establish the feasibility questions, dependencies and assumptions that need resolving before the agency prices the work.
Alongside delivery.
We agree the architecture, implementation or decision-making scope, then work with the account, design, content and development leads responsible for delivering it.
A defined intervention.
Bring the recurring failure and the record that shows it. A paid Systems Diagnostic establishes what is happening and gives the repair an agreed scope.
The senior person stays on the work.
I personally lead diagnosis, scoping, architecture, critical implementation and technical direction. I stay with the decisions through implementation, working with the people who have to make the system run.
Where specialist production is needed, I work with your existing developers and designers or bring in the appropriate capability around the agreed job. Your designers retain creative direction; I resolve the content, publishing and technical conditions their work needs to accommodate.
I structure the practice around one or two substantial engagements at a time. We agree capacity and dates against the work before committing.
Make the consequence visible.
When an approach transfers manual work to another team, loses a record between systems or creates a dependency the scope has not allowed for, I map the consequence with the people responsible before asking anyone to change direction.
The decision stays with its owner.
My responsibility is to make the delivery consequences clear enough for the client and agency to choose deliberately.
Agree how we work together.
Establish the fit before the fee.
The brief may show where delivery has become difficult without establishing its cause, so the first conversation is about the decision you need to make, the people involved and whether my experience fits the responsibility.
You need that judgment before committing.
Send the project context or reply to the email that brought you here. We agree the scope, fee and access before any paid investigation starts. The investigation begins once that agreement is in place.
If a diagnostic fits, it gives the unresolved work an agreed boundary before implementation is priced.
Put a boundary around the work.
If the cause, dependencies or repair scope remain unclear, the first engagement is a paid, fixed-scope Systems Diagnostic. We agree one workflow or system boundary, the evidence and access needed, the fixed fee and the delivery dates before work begins.
Allow generally five working days once the agreed records and access are available. You receive the system and handoff map, evidence-backed findings, priorities and an intervention scope. Your team can use the findings or agree implementation with SCFC.
If the work is already defined, bring the brief. From there we can agree a fixed project, a defined block of delivery capacity or ongoing involvement where the complexity warrants it. Scope, ownership, fees and dates are agreed before work starts.
Give the responsibility somewhere to land.
The engagement needs an accountable decision-maker, access to the relevant people and records, and a defined responsibility I can own. It suits work with enough complexity or commercial consequence for senior involvement to matter.
Bring the decision you need to make.
Send the project or website, the commitment under discussion and where the work needs senior involvement. A few sentences are enough to establish the next conversation. We can agree any redacted records or access afterward.
If you arrived from an email, reply there with the context.
